Families and staff are invited to celebrate countries around the world on this special free-of-charge evening. Families, please sign up to host a table about the country of your choice! We are also looking for family members, students and staff of all ability levels who are interested in doing a cultural performance in the Multipurpose Room during the event! This could be dance from any country, singing in any language, poetry in any language, reading a storybook out loud related to any culture, playing an instrument, demonstrating an activity like Chinese Yo-Yo's, just to name a few!

McDole PTO is excited to announce our upcoming UNO Tournament & Family Game Night! McDole Families and staff are invited to join us for an evening of fun! Kaneland School District, in partnership with the Kaneland Education Association (KEA) and the Support Professionals' Education Association of Kaneland (SPEAK), is excited to launch our Spread the Love Food Drive to support families in our community who may be experiencing food insecurity.
Each school and/or grade level will collect specific items from our donation list. The list is below and attached here. Food Donations can be dropped off at any Kaneland School location during the collection period.

As Veterans Day approaches, we are honored to extend an invitation to the veterans in our community to join us for a special Veterans Day celebration at McDole Elementary.
This celebration is a time for us to come together and express our heartfelt gratitude for your service and sacrifice. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 11 at 8:15 am at McDole Elementary.

Here is what you need to know about our Book Fair, which will take place from Monday, October 27th through Thursday, November 6th in our centrally located LRC library . . .
All students will have an opportunity to preview books and make their "Wish List" the week of October 27th.
All students will be able to purchase books during designated school hours Friday, October 31st through Wednesday, November 5th.
The Fair will continue to be open for families on Wednesday, November 5th from 4pm to 8pm and Thursday, November 6thfrom 10am to 8pm during your conference time.
If you can't make it to the Fair, you can shop at our school's Online Book Fair, (October 27th through November 9th). All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Of course, your online orders will also benefit our school.
Drop off your book theme decorated pumpkin on Friday, October 17th, for entry in the pumpkin decorating contest in the school library!
No carved pumpkins, as the pumpkins will be sitting indoors for a week during the voting. Real and artificial pumpkins accepted!
Student voting will be October 20th - 24th. Pumpkins must be picked up on Friday, October 24th or Monday, October 27th after school.
McDole PTO is back with our annual Trunk or Treat! Dress your family in their spookiest, cutest, or funniest costumes and join us in the McDole west parking lot on Saturday, October 18th from 2-4pm for some trick or treating fun.
